Reporting To: Director, R&D

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate methods for solid dosage forms.
  • Perform analytical testing on finished products and stability samples, utilizing validated methods to support the manufacturing operations.
  • Support customer and agency audits.
  • Assist in training employees in analytical testing on products and with regards to safety and cGMP's requirements.
  • Manage and maintain R&D Analytical Balances, Dissolution Apparatus and HPLC's.
  • Review documentation for product releases according to cGMP's.
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Extensive training in the use of HPLC, GC, FTIR, DSC, TGA, ICP, UV and other lab instrumentation.
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong chemistry knowledge.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills.
  • Well versed in cGMP and regulatory compliance.
  • Effective writing and documentation skills.
  • Analytical testing skills from the USP, EP and wet chemical analysis.
  • Computer knowledge of laboratory automated systems including Empower 2 and EZChrom, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
