Reporting To: Director, R&D
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate methods for solid dosage forms.
- Perform analytical testing on finished products and stability samples, utilizing validated methods to support the manufacturing operations.
- Support customer and agency audits.
- Assist in training employees in analytical testing on products and with regards to safety and cGMP's requirements.
- Manage and maintain R&D Analytical Balances, Dissolution Apparatus and HPLC's.
- Review documentation for product releases according to cGMP's.
- May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Qualifications
- Extensive training in the use of HPLC, GC, FTIR, DSC, TGA, ICP, UV and other lab instrumentation.
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team environment.
- Strong chemistry knowledge.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills.
- Well versed in cGMP and regulatory compliance.
- Effective writing and documentation skills.
- Analytical testing skills from the USP, EP and wet chemical analysis.
- Computer knowledge of laboratory automated systems including Empower 2 and EZChrom, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
